his first goal is kill the ra'zac, but he's too weak :P. so first he just follows Brom, and when he dies to save Eragon while Eragon was saving arya, Eragon has to reach the varden to save her, and his last goal is killing durza, who had killed Brom, then he'll get a goal for next book, go to Ellesmera and learn from Oromis and Glaedr.
