Good question. I've been truing to find out the same thing. I have seen everything from $3.50/bale to $8.00/bale. Someone told me that it should be selling for between $60.00 and $80.00/ton. At an average squae bale weight of 50lbs that would mean approximately 40 bales/ton and a cost of approximately $2/bale. I haven't found anyone wanting to sell for that low. Judging from what I have seen in this market I might be suspect of the quality if it was that low. Hope this helps.
The Gulf of Mexico watershed occupies in Canada a small portion of southern Alberta and Saskatchewan. The waters drain south into the Mississippi system, which ultimately drains into the Gulf of Mexico. (The Gulf is part of the Atlantic Ocean but, because of the Mississippi, it is often studied as a separate entity). Finally, parts of Alberta and Saskatchewan have closed watersheds or areas of internal drainage: these are river systems that do not drain into any ocean.
This varies from region to region. The southern portion of Alberta often receives less rainfall than the northern portion of the province, for example. Alberta is not a small state, it is a province that covers a very large area of land that varies in topography, soil type, climate and even biomes.
