The squirrel has claws to climb trees and to grasp things, the squirrel has teeth to crack open nuts, and whenever a person tries to catch a squirrel, the squirrel scampers up a tree. The adaptations of my animal are physical and behavior because claws and teeth are physical and scampering up a tree is a part of behavior to the squirrel. If the squirrel didn't have claws, the squirrel couldn't climb trees, crack open nuts or grasp things, and if the squirrel didn't have teeth the squirrel couldn't eat. The squirrel might face problems like being caught by other animals, and people would catch squirrels and kill them and then the squirrels might become endangered or extinct.

It doesnt hibernate, stores nuts, and has a thick coat of fur, They spend about ¾ of there life in trees and ¼ or less on the ground. During the fall the Red Squirrel in North America, they gather pine cones and nuts and store them at piles by the base of trees.
Squirrels have bushy tails to shade them in hot weather, to help them safely jump from treee to tree and to slow down a fall
Squirrels are adapted to their habitat by their :

TAIL, TEETH AND THEIR EARS.

The tail is for balance.

The teeth on a squirrel are to crack an acorn that the squirrel might what to eat it.

Their ears help by hearing predators nearby.
They have sharp claws for protection from predators, and also they have sharp claws and teeth for gnawing at nuts, plus they use their sharp claws for gripping and climbing and their large tail provides balance.
The adaptive characteristics of a squirrels help them in surviving in their environment. They include their small size and having a light weight which will enable them to Dodge predators among others.
Some adaptations of the squirrel are that they have sharp claws which enable them to climb trees. They also are usually brown in color, meaning they blend in with their environment.
