As a user of AMD processors for several years now, I can say that the biggest advantage of AMD processors over Intel processors is cost. For example, the AMD Phenom II X6 1100T, a six-core processor running at 3.3 gigahertz, is priced at a reasonable $269.99, whereas an equivalent processor from Intel, the Core i7-980X, a six-core processor running at a comparable 3.33 gigahertz, is priced at $999.99. That's one thousand dollars. The performance of the Phenom II is slightly less than the Core i7, but considering the ridiculously high cost of the Core i7-980X, the Phenom II X6 1100T is a perfect processor for a spending-smart gamer.
the disadvantages are that they can crash and you can lose all of your work, but the advantages are that you can store lots of information lol hehe :P thanx
Cheaper than Intel, Works well with Ati graphics cards
Not usually as powerful as Intel, Intel uses hyper-threading while AMD doesnt

Intel and AMD
Intel Corporation, Advanced Micro Devices, and Motorola Corporation.
Intel is a good processor, usually quite fast and powerful. AMD also a good processor, difference between them is that an AMD is easier to overclock (make it run faster than it should) AMD's are made to be overclocked. No real advantage or disadvantage just matter of opinion, and what you want to do with it.
Celeron for Intel and Sempron for AMD
Intel tends to make better processors than AMD.
