The International Date Line is an imaginary line of longitude which divides Earth into two days. Crossing the International Date Line east results in a day subtracted and crossing it west results in a day added. This is where the calendar day resets.

∙ 13y agoYour question does not use proper grammar. It should be "What is an International date line?" This is because whenever want to show singularity before a word beginning with a vowel (a, e, i, o or u), you put "an" instead of "a." This way you don't sound like "a idiot."
