She discovered the technology that makes x-rays work. Now we know what bone we broke or if that spider bite is really a tumor or if it's just that nickel that your friend dared you to swallow.
The only advantage of the discovery of radium is radiation therapy, however, it doesn't always work and statistically has been connected to the growth of further cancers.
Her husband died in a carriage accident, but his autopsy showed he was dying of radiation poisoning. Marie Curie died of radiation poisoning. Women who painted watch hands to make them glow in the dark licked their paint brushes to create a fine point got mouth cancers.
If anyone can argue positive aspects to the discovery of radium, it isn't me.
Nothing so important.
Discoveries are something new! Something we didn't know about before. So they are, of course, important because they bring something new into society; it could be new knowledge, a new invention, a new scientific concept, a new idea, anything!!
do you mean bi curious? if so it basically means your experimenting with women/men(depending on your gender) but that your not sure if your straight or bi or gay/lez
Madame Marie Sklodowska-Curie was a leader because of her passion, dedication, and hard work to the science of radiation chemistry. She overcame many obstacles of her day to rise to her life's work in chemistry. She became an woman of influence in her field so that many women could follow in her footsteps. She actively sought to help other women in her field of experimenting with radiation and gave everything she had to further her discoveries--sadly even her own life.
Marie's scientific studies began with the research of a phenomenon for which she later coined the word "radioactivity". Marie worked jointly with Pierre and Henri Becquerel, a French scientist, and in 1903 they shared the Nobel Prize in Physics due to their work with radioactive material and the discovering of its properties. Today radioactivity is used in cancer treatments, molecular biology, modern genetics, as well as the dating of artifacts. Marie also discovered polonium, which was named after her native land of Poland, and radium in 1898, chemicals which she devoted the rest of her life to studying. Marie discovered how to isolate these elements so that they might be used for useful causes, such as cancer therapy. In addition, she won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1911 for discovering the method used to isolate pure radium. Marie also developed a process called Curietherapy with the help of Pierre, a process that was used to treat malignant tumors at the time.
the news of the day is that i farted so loud the people in Africa heard it and it stank so bad i killed four million people.
he discovered a lot helping the world today
lesseps
Because of her amazing discoveries as a scuba diver, and a marine biologist
yea i think so
You have not given the period so we can't give an answer.
Becuz its important
She use to tell me to never come on this website because ppl can edit this so go on something not Wikipedia related coz ppl can edit things kk make sure u tell every body u no
she was a journalist who writes about peoples lives and she is also an author.
Nothing so important.
marie curie
Marie Curie was so determined to find radium because as a young girl she was interested in physics and science so she devoted her life to science because it was her dream and for her it was very interesting. Imagine doind all this research in a time where woman wer not interested in doing these discoveries. She was the first to win the nobel prize two times in a row.
