  • growing low to the ground as to avoid harsh winds (on average the bush is 3 inchs tall)
  • thriving in non-nutrient soils such as sand, soils on rock outcrops and shallow soils.
  • Having fine silk hairs that grow on the stem/bark to retain warmth
  • And Leathery Leafs that reduce evaporation
