What are the big five game animals?

Lion, African elephant, African Buffalo, Rhino and Leopard. It refers to the most difficult animals to hunt on foot.

Lion: considered the best of the big 5, are unpredictable, are ambush hunters, they do not generally avoid confrontation but will usually face the challenge, may charge when annoyed or confronted by danger. These factors make lion hunting a challenge to hunters.

African elephant: difficult because it is able to hide in the tall grass and more likely to charge than the other big 5.

African buffalo: considered the most dangerous of the big 5 - causing the most hunter deaths.

Rhino: rhino may refer to black rhino and white rhino. Big 5 hunters prefer the black rhino.

Leopard: the most difficult of the big 5 to hunt due to their nocturnal habits, natural camouflage and their predisposition to flee when faced with danger.
