Vappu is a celebration for the lucky upper secondary school's studiers that have ended their school year. During this event they wear white caps and have coloured pieces of paper everywhere. Wigs and balloons rule then.
Juhannus is a different kind of celebration following Vappu. When it's midnight we light a huge pile of woods on fire and have fun. Simple but also so fun in Naantali, because the President of Finland is usually there to light the fire. There are some hundred or so boats watching the same event. We tend to use alcohol during Vappu and Juhannus...
Then there are some other international ones: Xmas, New Years Eve, Independence Day (6th of December).
Those are the biggest ones. To see smaller ones go to Wiki article:

One quite commonly known tradition is to sauna (as in bathe in a sauna) and then run naked into an icy lake. Then back in the sauna, maybe roll around in the snow for a while, then back to the sauna again. Then grill some sausages in the fireplace. And get drunk on beer or vodka. Finlandia vodka of course.
