You can get Tranexamic Acid and Mefenamic Acid from your doctor (some pharmacies may stock these too), both can reduce menstrual flow by up to 50% if taken three times per day for the first three days of your period. If your period is excessively heavy you should talk to your doctor to make sure there is no underlying health problem causing the excessive bleeding.
