What are the differences between tally 7.2 and tally 6.3?

Tally 7.2 is an extension of Tally 6.3 . You can say the higher version of Tally. Apart from Technology up gradation Tally 7.2 had some new features and enhancements which were not present in Tally 6.3.

The major technological change in Tally 7.2 was that Tally 6.3 used Hardlock for licensing but Tally 7.2 only supported softlock.

The main feature was full VAT returns with forms in Tally 7.2. Although Tally 6.3 release 2 was VAT compliant but full VAT reports and VAT returns were available in Tally 7.2. State specific VAT returns were available in Tally 7.2 only.

Another small feature introduced was Tally POS. This feature is now enhanced in Tally 9 the latest release of Tally.

Now a days Tally 9 is the latest version which has payroll included with lots of other features.
