Why was the Mongols rule was different from other dynasties in China because the Mongol dynasty was?

The first foreign group to help rule all of China.

Does modern China have dynasties?

No. A dynasty is only used to refer to a period of time in the feudal society. In this period of time, a family dominated a large area. They gave their realm a name, which is the name of the dynasty. Since China is not always a whole, sometimes there were several dynasties in the same time. For example, we all know the Song dynasty(960~1279),but in the same time, there were still other dynasties. There were Liao Dynasty (907~1125),Jin dynasty(1115~1234)(They were the ancestors of the people who created Qing dynasty),and Xixia(1038~1227). Qing dynasty(1636~1911) is the last dynasty of China. Sorry my English is poor, but I hope you know what I mean, and these may help you.^o^

Why did China dynasty leaders want to keep China isolated from the outside world?

Ancient dynasties on China (land) was not always ruled by the Chinese; Mongolian/Nurchen had taken over the land for two dynasties. All the ancient dynasties on China did not keep themselves isolated; they were open to other areas even like Japan and Korea. As for Qin/Ching dynasty, documents have shown evidences with its openness to the West. The New China (People's Republic of China) is the one that is isolated. It is because of their believes in communism and that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) want their people to listen to the party from inside out and without any doubt. Hence, the unforgettable Chinese Cultural Revolution and The Tiananmen Square incident happened. More recent incident is what's called Fa-Lung Gong.

Was daily life peaceful or chaotic during the Han dynasty time all around ancient china?

The Han dynasty was the societal peak of Ancient China. Many of the things that would shape the legacy of the Ancient Chinese were invented during this time, such as paper. The Han dynasty reunified the Chinese around 202 BC after the unpopular Qin dynasty split into six warring states, and was overthrown around 220 BC. The Han military fought in many wars during the Han period, however, most of it was fought to expand the borders of the empire, and, unlike many other dynasties, had very infrequent barbarian incursions. The citizens of Han China were some of the happiest of all Chinese dynasties, and there was very little strife inside the borders of China during this time. The Han period was one of the most peaceful times in Chinese history.
