What are the disadvantages of tree network?
The disadvantages of a tree network are that it requires alot of cable to network and that if the central hub fails then the entire network fails. Also, it is not a prudent expense for a small network.
Hardwired ADVANTAGES: Faster Internet connection, especially downloading data. Faster printing DISADVANTAGES: Bound to one place; non portable Wireless ADVANTAGES: Decent internet connection Portable throughout home network coverage DISADVANTAGES: Slower network printing WiFi ADVANTAGES: 100% Portablility Anywhere in the world, not bound to a home network. Decent Internet Connection DISADVANTAGES: Dead-Spots Not as fast as having a home network
To beter understand the area computer networks, one should understand the basic broad categories of computer networks and data communication. For example one should be able to define each of the following terms. The two basic categories of network topologies are: . Physical Topology .Logical Tpology The Basic Topology of Network. 1) Point to Point 2) Bus 3) Star 4) Ring or Circular 5) Mesh 6) Tree 7) Hybrid 8) Daisy . Advantages of Network…
What are two advantages and two disadvantages of using a network to help a small busniness make better use of their computers?
A few disadvantages of star topology are as follows : It is difficult to expand. If the central node of the network fails, the entire network is rendered inoperable. We need not solve the disadvantages of the star topology. The better alternative would be to switch to another topology according to your requirements.
Among all the Network Topologies we can derive that the Tree Topology is a combination of the bus and the Star Topology. The tree like structure allows you to have many servers on the network and you can branch out the network in many ways. This is particularly helpful for colleges, universities and schools so that each of the branches can identify the relevant systems in their own network and yet connect to the big…
