Soda water basically contains water and carbon dioxide. But because carbon dioxide reacts with water, carbonic acid is also found in soda water. So we have H2O, CO2, and H2CO3 in soda water. Broken down into the elements, we'd have hydrogen, carbon and oxygen in soda water.

The elements that make up soda depend on the type of soda. If it is baking soda or sodium bicarbonate, then the formula is NaHCO3. The elements are sodium, hydrogen, carbon, and oxygen. However, if it is carbonated soda, then it is a mixture of carbon dioxide and water, or CO2 and H20.
