About 99% of the Earth's atmosphere is composed of nitrogen and oxygen. Carbon dioxide and argon are the next most common in very small amounts. The rest, well, it depends on where you are for the percentages, but the next three most common are neon, helium, and methane.
A type of air pollution which is most common around cities is smog. The most common causes of smog are automobile exhaust and industrial plants.
probably air or water
The four most important elements for life are food, water, shelter, and homeostasis.
There is some variation according to different traditions: Earth, sky, sea, wind - Babylonian Air, water, fire, earth, aether - Greek Water, wind, akasha (aether), fire, earth - Hinduism & Buddism Wood, water, earth, fire, metal - Chinese Air, water, void, fire, earth - Japanese
oxygen
Hot air is common.
The five things the five elements stand for are # earth # fire # water # man # air
Air is not an element, but made of elements. Mostly nitrogen and oxygen, with helium, hydrogen and other trace elements.
Nitrogen and oxygen are the two most abundant gases in the air. They are actually elements and not compounds. The two most abundant compounds would be water vapor and carbon dioxide.
Earth, Water, Air, Fire, and Aether
nutrial, air, earth, fire, and water
I believe it is Water, Earth, Fire, Air, and Plasma.
Carbon, Helium, Oxygen ========================= Mine are Hydrogen (in water), Oxygen (in water and air), and Nitrogen (in air). Helium is not abundant on Earth at all.
The most common indoor air pollutant is air freshener.
In ancient times, the four (or five, depending if you were in Europe or Asia) elements, fire, water, earth, and air (In Asia, it was fire, water, air, wood, and metal) were thought to make up all things. In modern day, elements are still though to compose all matter, but we know that there's a lot more than just four or five (and that none of the classic elements were actually elements, except for metal, which could be an element. Most classical elements are what we now call compounds)
The five senses: sight, hearing, taste, touch, smell The five elements (Greek): fire, water, earth, air, aether The five elements (Chinese): fire, water, earth, wood, metal
In terms of Science, there are five physical elements that make up the environment in a community. These five elements include: air, soil, water, solar energy, and flora & fauna.
