# What are the four steps to making a coordinate graph?

Well a regular x-axis and y-axis graph is done like this...

First make a horizontal line(from left to right) and draw arrows on each side of the line. mark this the x-axis

Second make a vertical line(from top to bottom) that intersects each line in the exact center. mark this the y-axis

Third make marks on each of the lines to indicate how far on your line you want to go out. this is line a number line but in four directions... up-direction... down-direction... left-direction... right-direction

fourth label your coordinates with the amount of units you go over left or right as the x coordinates. label your coordinates with the amount of units you go up and down as the y-coordinates. they are written as (x,y). and yes you can have negative values for both or just one.

### What do ordered pairs mean on a graph?

On a graph, you have two axis, x and y. In an ordered pair, the first number is the x coordinate, and the second number is the y coordinate. On the x-axis, if the x-coordinate is negative then you go left. If the x-coordinate is positive, then you go right. On the y-axis, it works the same way. If the y-coordinate is negative, you go down, but if it is positive, then you go up…

### What is the difference between a coordinate grid and a coordinate plane?

A coordinate grid has just one large section displaying data varying from (0,0) to (infinity, infinity). On the other hand, a coordinate plane is much different. A coordinate plane has four sections, (+,+), (+,-), (-,+), and (-,-). Theese four sections are all in oposite corners of a grid. I hope this helped!!

### What building has 364 steps?

The Temple of Kukulcan (El Castillo) Chichen Itza, Mexico. The superimposed temple has four grand stairways that lead to a platform at the top of the pyramid where a temple stands. There are 91 steps to each stairway making a total of 364 steps and one grand step all around the top, making a total of 365 steps, perhaps symbolic of the 365 day year.

### How do you graph y equals 4-2x?

The same way one would graph y=-2x+4. First use 0 as x and insert it into the formula to find the y-value to find the x-intercept. Then repeat this process with the y-intercept. After finding this, use four or five simple numbers (usually -2, -1, 0, 1, and 2) for the x-values and find the corresponding y-values. Graph these coordinate pairs and you're set!

### What are the four steps of genetic engineering?

The four steps of genetic engineering are: Isolating Gene- isolate pieces of DNA with the desirable gene Cutting the desired gene - Removing gene from the organism. Making Recombinant DNA- placing the small pieces of DNA into a host cell. Cloning and Screening- for colonies that are producing the desired protein

### Cartesian coordiate coordinate system?

What it looks like: The cartesian coordinate plane is a virtical line (the y axis) running through a horizontal line (the x axis). It forms a cross which divides the grid that it's placed on into four quadrants. The quadrants are labeled 1, 2, 3, and 4, in counter clockwise direction, starting in the upper right corner. The point where the x and y axis meet, (0,0) is called the origin. You can graph points…

### What are the four types of graph?

There are a lot more than just four types of graph. A graph is simply a way to present information in a visual form. One of my favourites is Minard's graphic display of Napoleon's army's march into and retreat from Russia. See link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_invasion_of_Russia#Weather_as_a_factor
