Carnivores and second-level consumers eat the herbivores, absorbing some of THEIR energy, which came from the plants in the first place!

Carnivores, or animals that eat only meat, got their energy from consumer called herbivores which they got from producers, plants and grass, that got their energy directly from the sun from the process of photosynthesis.
