The Medical Corps doesn't have any specific rank to them, nor is there any sort of "one size fits all" type of medic. If you're thinking of combat medics, they'll always be enlisted personnel (although the MOS is now called Healthcare Specialist, and is a bit broader than the old MOS of Combat Medic was). That will include the ranks from Private to Staff Sergeant. When a soldier reaches the rank of Sergeant First Class, they become an NCO for the field (in this case, medical) in general - you'd be a Chief Medical NCO, and not be specific to one particular role. The medics you see actually assigned to line platoons will usually be Private through Sergeant, while Staff Sergeants and higher will typically serve in the Medical Platoon at Battalion level (although I was still on the line as a Staff Sergeant, so this is in no way absolute).
A Corpsman is a navy medic. Typically when somebody is talking about a combat medic, they mean a line medic, or a medic who actually goes into combat with a unit vs a medic who works in a hospital.
