Most primates carry their young. That would be too difficult if a mother had to carry two babies. Thus, twins are fairly rare among all primates.
There are so many different types of primates which are divided into 16 families, 72 genera and 543 species. The most common ones that are known include monkeys, apes, gorillas, baboons and chimpanzees.
