I'm guessing your talking about AMERICAN soccer.
I've never heard this question before, so I'm going to lay it out.
There are NO negatives, except brusing sometimes and getting hit in the head, which is a whole bunch of fun :)
but the positives, there are sooo many. Soccer is lots of fun, and a very easy way to loose weight. If you thinking of doing soccer, and plan to keep doing it, stay, because it'll be a whole lot of help in the future, for maybe a journal assignment on how to loose weight or your favorite outdoor activity :)

The positives in soccer are to have fun, make new friends, learn new skills and if you like to play then you can keep playing in high school and college.
