Positive- Depending on where you go, it can be a great gateway into other types of engineering and concintrations. I am a mechanical engineering who is completing there education at Kettering University. Kettering is a good place to go if you are thinking mechanical because of the experience you get while going there. You should graduate with at least two years of experience.

Negative- its a dying field. Automotive is a bad place to be, but if you can get the jobs its a great learning experience.

What Are The Pros And Cons Of Combustion?

One of the pros of combustion is that it helps in cooking and industrial processes. A disadvantage arises when the combustion cannot be controlled. Fires can lead to death.

What are the pros and cons of a capillary tube in refrigeration?

Capillary tube is a very simple device and can be manufacture easily at low cost. The capillary tube can limit the maximum amount of refrigerant to be charged eliminating the need for a receiver in the refrigeration system. Another advantage is when the refrigeration plant is stopped, the pressure along the capillary tube and the entire system remains constant which means that if the compressor is restarted it does not need moreÊpower to overcome high pressure in the system. Hence, smaller compressors can be used instead of big, expensive ones. A disadvantage with capillary coil is that this system is non adjustable due to the fact that the control of the flow of pressure is dictated by the inside diameter of the tube.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of using diesel?

pros: burns clean and heats evenly. If the electricity goes out, you can still heat with gas. Compared to an electric heater attached to a gas-burning electric power station, a natural gas heater uses less fuel and puts less CO2 in the air. cons: cost a fortune now a days. +++ There is a proviso there. A power-cut will prevent most gas-fired central-heating boilers to cut out, or not light at all, by denying electricity to their internal fans and control electronics; and of course the the circulating pumps would stop too.
