What qualifications are needed to be a primary school teacher?

It depends where you live. In NY city public schools you need to be certified to teach, but in the private and certain special schools you don't need certification. To teach gifted education you need a certification in that specifically in public schools.

you must have lots of experience with very small children, and have an understanding of how to make children happy and how to please them, and you should also be able to allow children to please you. in my experience i found that it is good get experience with young children outside of the work place aswell, for example waiting for children outside of their schools and following them and watching them closely at places such as playgrounds. good luck, yours sincerely M.
