there are at least 4 possible reasons for this question. first, the distributor breaker points are dirty or not set properly. Secondly, The spark plugs are fouled or improperly gapped. Thirdly, the ignition timing is improperly set and last but i think not the least, the distributor is faulty or in advance operation.
Let's add;
- improper tire inflation / wrong size / excessive tire wear (common)
- dirty or otherwise obstructed air filter (common)
- distributor cap / ignition rotor worn or faulty (common)
- spark plugs/cables/ignition coil worn or faulty (common)
- faulty/malfunctioning PCV value
- faulty/malfunctioning O2 sensor(s)
- dirty/faulty mass air flow sensor
- dirty fuel filter
- dirty/faulty fuel injector(s)
- fuel system leak
- dirty/incorrect grade oil
- poor quality fuel / wrong octane rating for vehicle
Two things that cannot be underestimated;
- driving style (hard acceleration/breaking, excessive speed)
- typical routes (all city burns a lot of gas)
we want use cng
bad piston rings.
too much fuel, excessive oil consumption
too much weight tire air pressure low air cleaner clogged bad spark plugs, ignition timing get a tune up
Yes. A sticking fuel injector can allow far too much fuel into a cylinder.
Fueleconomy.gov is where you can find information related to comparing mileage and gas consumption of hybrid cars versus furl driven cars. The results will amaze you.
They help reduce fuel consumption and control pollution.
a bad camshaft sensor will do this. considering it is tuned up properly...
No smart cars are not hybrids, nor are they overall good for the environment. They do help reduce fuel consumption some.
They do, for a variety of reasons. There tends to be less stopping and starting in the carpool lane. Also, commuters sharing rides reduces fuel consumption.
depends on your speed and your cars fuel consumption
One can compare the fuel consumption of various cars by finding the detailed mpg information from the official website of the car brand. Then one can do an individual analysis of each mpg information and decide on the best option.
