Middle Passage
They carried slaves across the middle passage and didn't care about the slaves a lot.most slaves died of suicide or diseases because of horrible hygiene.
Most of the slaves faced horrible conditions on the ships.
They transported Black Africans known as the slaves. The middle passage often took 6 months (depending on the weather).
Many of the slaves were kept in the hold and only by luck did they survive the trip.
the voyage of the slave ships from Africa to the America's was called the middle passage cause it was the middle leg of the triangular trade the triangular trade was the movement of trade ships between Europe Africa and the America's
Ships
Slaves were treated so inhuman (badly) during the middle passage. They were kept on the bottom of ships. They were chained down. Slaves were hardly given any food and they had to go to the bathroom right where they were chained.
Slaves on the Middle Passage were typically allocated between 4 to 6 feet of space in the ship's hold, with very cramped and unsanitary conditions. They were heavily crowded together, laying in rows on hard surfaces, with limited access to ventilation and light. This inhumane treatment contributed to high mortality rates during the transatlantic voyage.
Middle passage is the sea journey undertaken by slave ships. This happened from West Africa to the West Indies.
Slaves would just die anywhere. The overseers would do something with their bodies. On the Slave ships they would get rid of their bodies by throwing them over the side into the water. Lots of slaves died on the middle passage either by suffocating or dieing of disease.
