The maximum distance at which a radar set is ordinarily effective in detecting objects can be increase by lowering the pulse frequency, raising the peak power of the transmitter, narrow the beam with and increasing the pulse duration

Air Traffic Control radar service is typically terminated once an aircraft exits controlled airspace or when the service is no longer needed, such as after landing at an airport. Pilots will be advised by controllers when radar service is being terminated.

CW in reference to radar usually means Continuous Wave. (CW Radar = Continuous Wave Radar) I don't think that it is usually referred to in a case sensitive way. You will need to explain the context better. Continuous Wave Radar references a radar system in which the transmitter is never turned off. The target illuminating, radio frequency emitter power is non-stop and unbroken. Isolation between the transmitter and receiver has to be specially considered during design.
