Every condomnium association is a multi-million dollar corporation -- whether it be a non-profit or a for-profit or an unincorporated association. The number in front of the millions may be small or double or triple digits.

Leadership for any association requires just that: leadership. Vision, business expertise and accumen are required, an ability to prioritize tasks, deligate authority and responsibility, be transparent and accountable, and so forth, are all necessary skills.

Most state laws mandate that the board -- of which the president is the defacto leader -- is responsible for the maintenance, preservation and security of the real estate assets and the community that make up the association.
