There can be many causes for either low or high TSH levels, diet I've found affects this the most, but the doctors don't necessarily tell you that. Avoid peaches when low levels are found. As for your higher level, eat more vegetables and fruits and a proper diet. Junk foods such as ice cream and the like tend to make TSH higher the more you eat of them. You don't have to avoid foods at all, you can eat whatever you like but be aware some foods affect your thyroid condition whichever one you happen to be. Side effects for high tsh include before you get tested and they find you are high level, you might feel fatigue, but not the real extreme sleep all the time kind like you have when low; lack of energy to some degree, but at the same time a strong urge to get out there and do things normal, so energy level is in between with high level. trouble sleeping is a side effect of both high and low, headaches, diarrhea. not necessarily nausea but some have it with high i haven't so much though; constipation, bloating, weight loss or weight gain, your weight will fluctuate.
