There really are none. For mine, it hurt way bad cause the lady did it wrong. Make sure they know what they're doing and make sure you clean it. If you wear a lip ring instead of a stud it's known to jack up your teeth to some extent, too.

∙ 10y agoThere are various health hazards related to lip rings, as there are with any kind of body piercing. The main problem is the constant danger of bacterial infections in the pierced area. In addition, a lip ring could always be caught on something or someone and get torn off. Which would be very unpleasant and painful. Besides that, it could be harder to find a decent job as many employers only want people who look respectable. Lip rings fall outside of the norm for dress standards at most work places.

∙ 14y agoWell secondary infection, gum regression, dental damage, blood clots just to name a few. If the piercing is done by a professional body piercer and taken care of by a diligent client the chances of these issues occurring are rare.
