the process of digestion starts right when your saliva hits the food in your mouth. saliva help break down the food with special emzines that break it down and make it soft so that your teeth can chew it better and the saliva helps the food go down the tube that goes to the stomach and then the acids in the stomach breaks down the food into partials it can use and what it cant use and then goes though the large intestines to the small intestines and goes to the colon where it could get pooped out or peed out .

It is the process by which food is processed into nutrients and absorbed by the body. It begins with the mastication process in the mouth (where food is chewed and swallowed) continues through the stomach and intestines where it is processed and nutrients absorbed, and ends with the excretion process where undigested food leaves the body.
