All food is digested in the stomach. The mouth contains enzymes which breaks the food down, but digestion occurs in the stomach and intestines.

Digestion starts in the mouth and continues in the stomach. The small intestine completes the digestion process.
I am not 100 % sure of this but I believe the digestive system goes from your mouth all the way to your colon so everything in between is a part of the digestive system.
The small intestines is an organ that takes in the nutrition from the food from the stomach, if all the food flows into the small intestines they would burst and you could suffer massive pains.

when food is eaten it travels through the mouth, down the oesophagus into the stomach into the small intestines, then the large intestines, before it's finally in the gullet where the anus will help force the food out. although food goes through all of this, energy from the food called glucose will be sent by big amounts around the body, only when it reaches the intestines.
