Different ways to induce current in a coil are as given below:

(1) If a magnetic field is changed round a coil then an induced current is set up in the coil. It can be done by taking a bar magnet and bringing it closer to the coil or taking it away from the coil.

(2) If a coil is moved in a magnetic field, then again an induced current is set up in the coil.

(3) If a coil is rotated in a uniform magnetic field, it may also cause an induced current in the coil.

(4) If we take two coils and insert them over a non conducting cylindrical roll then on changing current flowing in one coil, an induced current is obtained in the other coil.

You don't induce a 'current' into a coil; you induce a voltage. If that coil is open circuited, then no current will flow. If, on the other hand, the coil is connected to a load, or its opposite ends short-circuited, then the induced voltage will cause a current to flow. Remember, current will only flow if there is a load, or short circuit, and the value of the current will depend upon the value of the induced voltage and the resistance of the load or short circuit.

Two ways to increase the strength of an electromagnet?

-- Increase the current (amperes) flowing through the coil of wire that surrounds the electromagnet. -- Increase the number of 'turns' of wire in the coil.

If a magnet is held close to a coil of wire will it cause current to flow?

Yes, but only if the magnet or the wire are kept moving.

How is current generated using electromagnetism?

A coil of wire with current passing through it has a coil of wire spinning inside it. That is how an alternator works. As a wire cuts through a magnetic field it causes current to flow in the wire. Faraday.
