They did not always understand what Jesus said, even though He made it fairly plain.

They were selfish and wanted positions of glory for themselves.

They wanted to call the fire of heaven down on the Samaritans.

They forbade the children to come to Jesus.

They were slow to believe the resurrection.

They may have been the original dirty dozen. Simon called Peter was emotionally unstable and Denied Christ at least three times, James & John were selfish, Matthew was a crooked tax collector, Thomas doubted, Simon was a Zealot, Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus outright, Matthias used gambling to get what he wanted and Paul Murdered Christians!

And yet all of them accept John died a martyrs death. Jesus scolded them time and again for their small faith. In the end their small faith was enough to change the world and die heros. Is yours?
