Homosexuality was a capital offense.

Social classes were very distinct in that the wealthy were the most elite and had control of everything, while the poor or peasants were treated as a subhuman culture.

Men were the most elite and made all of the decisions of the household. The wives had no say in how the family was ran and for a woman to have a child out of wedlock was unheard of. She would of been shunned by her own peers.
