The penguin has waterproof feathers and an about 3cm thick layer of fat whock keeps it warm. The fat is a good insulator which is especially important to the young ones in the winter. Many penguin types as the emperor penguin also huddle together to stay warm. depending on where it lives, the Penguin also has different sizes. The smaller it is, the less exposed it is to the wind.
