Quoted from my history book(assuming you are male):

"Before you leave your teens, a girl will sit in front of your door for four days grinding corn. If she grinds well, and pleases you and your parents, you will marry her. As a wedding gift you will weave yucca fibers into a pair of sandals and put them on her feet. Your parents will give the two of you a blanket of turkey feathers."

That's one.

Did both the Mississippians and the Anasazi lack a writing system?

Yes, both the Mississippians and the Anasazi lacked a writing system. There is no evidence of a developed writing system among these Native American cultures. Their communication and record-keeping relied on oral traditions, pictorial symbols, and possibly other forms of non-written communication.

What tradition did the hopi and the anasazi share?

The Hopi were where they are now when the Anasazi were active in the same general area. The Hopi say, and science confirms, that some of there clans came from Anasazi areas. So, the biggest thing they share is that the Hopi are direct descendants of the Anasazi. Because of this they share: pottery traditions, weaving traditions, they both farm corn, beans, and squash and sunflowers and turkeys, and they share home building and kiva building styles. We think the kachina religion arose at the end of the Anasazi era. If so, they share that too. We don't know, because there are no written records, but they may share clan names, origin stories, general theology and cosmology as well.

How old were the anasazi?

I don't know if this answers your question, but the Anasazi lived to be about 55, and that was considered old. Some of their weapons date back to 1500 years ago.
