Many students are tempted to cheat because they think they can get away with it - and some do, for awhile. They think the benefit is that they get a better grade without actually working. - study
- memorize
- read and comprehend content
- discipline themselves to learn
- develop their own thoughts
- to write their own thoughts
- defend their own thoughts in writing or spoken form
- to study independently the next time
- to be curious enough to want to learn
- and when caught, to suffer a failing grade plus embarrassment and other consequences.
