Hmmm. Sounds suspiciously like a Yellow-headed Blackbird. Did you see it in a marshy area?
You do not say where in the world you might be located, so it is impossible to answer the question with any certainty. If you are in Florida it could be a Spotted Oriole.
Check a field guide for goldfinch, or yellowthroat.
