The first time the word 'Jew' appears in The Bible is Esther chapter 2 verse 5:-

Est 2:5 Now in Shushan the palace there was a certain Jew, whose name was Mordecai, the son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, a Benjamite;

(The term 'Jew' is a contraction of the word 'Judah").

The first time "Jews" appears in the Bible... Syria and Israel are allied together against them in war:

"...Rezin king of Syria and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel came up to Jerusalem to war: and they besieged Ahaz [king of Judah], but could not overcome him. At that time Rezin king of Syria recovered Elath to Syria, and drave the Jews from Elath..." (II Kings 16:5-6).

The singular, "Jew" is first found in Esther: "Now in Shushan the palace there was a certain Jew, whose name was Mordecai..." (Esther 2:5).

After that, they are both found throughout the Bible.
