The answer to what?

The Bible, for the most part due to centuries of delusional and cynical interpretation, has been said to have a lot of answers but it depends on what you're looking for. In any case there'll be some crackpot who thinks they have a unique interpretation that accounts for just about anything you want reassurance of. Want God to hate gays? You got it. Want Jesus to be gay? It's in there.

Essentially, what you should take from this is that generally speaking the Bible has NO definitive answers in ANY book. Especially since most of its so called 'truths' are steeped in analogy and metaphor without any actual logical argumentation or empirical evidence.

Even if you're an atheist, like me though there is arguably some sound moral answers in the Bible. Simple maxims like "love thy neighbour", "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" or "let he who is without sin cast the first stone", etc are hard to falsify. I'd say the New Testament and the teachings of Jesus have most of these moral 'truths' so perhaps focus your search there. Even then though, it wouldn't hurt to actually look up whatever answers you find with secondary sources and independently reviewed in academic literature, the Bible is certainly NOT a reliable source for anything.
