T-Mobile is merging with MetroPCS, so they should work with that service. Other than that, it does not look like any work with it, so that's too bad.
MetroPCS is a prepaid wireless provider that uses the GSM network, meaning any GSM-compatible phone should work with MetroPCS. Some popular brands that are compatible with MetroPCS include Apple (iPhone), Samsung, LG, Motorola, and Google (Pixel). However, it is always best to check with MetroPCS or the specific cell phone manufacturer to ensure compatibility before purchasing a new phone.
Not all cell phones are compatible with SIM cards. Some only work with a contract, and you need to unlock the phone before you can use a SIM card.
There are cell phones that work without plans. Phones like the Iphone have plans that you need in order to work the phone. Some phones like a tracefone have no plans and you just pay for minutes you need.
Walki-talkies should work because they run on independently generated radio frequencies. Each have different ranges and functions. Cell phones may not work because cell towers may have been knocked down. Land lines may also not work because underground wires may have been cut. Satellite phones should also work.
Some research has concluded that cell phone signals can cause cancer and disruptions to the ecosystem. Actually that is incorrect. Cell phones work off of microwaves which are the second type of electromagnetic energy on the spectrum and are only harmful in great quantities like what is found in a microwave oven. Cell phones do not run on near that amount and are not harmful towards you nor the environment.
Today's current cell phones will not work on Mars. And we would need a way to get to Mars first.
Other cell phone companies include Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, and metroPCS. My personal favorite is Virgin Mobile, their prepaid plans are pretty reasonable and the phones that they work on aren't too shabby.
cell phones are a destraction from your work.
If the phone is from a GSM carrier, then you will not be able to use it on Metropcs, however, if it's from a CDMA carrier, then you might be able to but you need to flash the phone first before you can use it on Metropcs.
No, they don't have sony phones. Part of the problem, is that Sony phones aren't compatible with MetroPCS technology - at least not on a full scale. MetroPCS uses CDMA technology and most Sony phones don't use CDMA... Any sony phone I've ever come across needs a SIM Card...CDMA phones don't use SIM cards. That right there should tell you about the obstacles. Now, I'm sure you can go get an unlocked Sony phone, and take it to MetroPCS dealer and have them flash it and get it to work on their network. But I'd be surprised if you'd get full functionality out of it. You also run the risk of frying the phone, although this risk is slight.
There isn't a specific kind of cell phone that works better for businesses than for other people. But you will want to look for which brands get good service in the business area.
