Some of the breeds that have distinctive markings on the legs that you might call freckles are many of the hunting dogs, like the various pointers and setters.

These markings are called "tick markings" and some good examples are the German Shorthaired Pointers and Bluetick Coonhounds. Breeds that can have other types of spots on their legs include Australian Shepherds; Dalmatians; Beagles; and Basset Hounds for a few that come to mind first as examples. Look at the breed pictures at the AKC site (by way of the related link below) for more possibilities of the types of markings you are describing.

What are the differences between a malamute and a husky?

Alaskan Malamutes *Only have brown eyes *Built for bulk. Not speed *Wider Siberian Huskies *Only have blue eyes (some may also have brown eyes but that's only if they're a mix between Malamutes and Huskies) The information re: eye color in Siberians, above, is absolutely incorrect. The Siberian Husky may have brown, eyes, blue eyes, or eyes that are part brown and part blue. Eye color has nothing to do with whether or not they have been cross-bred with Alaskan Malamutes. There are tremendous differences between the two breeds. For details, visit akc.org and click on Dog Breeds. There, you can research the Official Breed Standard for each breed, and learn the characteristics of each. *Built for speed. Not bulk *Thinner

Do most dogs have brown eyes?

no Well, I don't agree with the answer just above. I have a dog who has green eyes. He has since I adopted him at 6 weeks, and he still does at 14 weeks. I have seen other dogs with green eyes as well, so I don't know why the person put "no" above.
