Pediatricians cannot specialize in orthopedics or surgery, these specialties require surgical residency training. Pediatricians can however sub-specialize in many things including Cardiology, Neonatalogy, Pulmonary, Heme/Onc, Adolescent Medicine, Allergy/Immunology, and Rheumatology to name a few.
