Pure iron melts at 1536 degrees Celsius.

Iron in nature is commonly found as magnetite (Fe3O4) or hematite (Fe2O3) which have a melting point of 1538 degrees Celsius and 1475-1565 degrees Celsius.

In other words, iron does not melt easily to everyday temperatures.
