What is interference in gears?

Interference in gears is mating of two non-conjugate or non-involute tooth profiles. Basically when the tip of pitch circle of pinion O1 tries to dig out (interfere with) the tooth of the gear wheel O2 .

Electrohydraulic systems are designed with both manual and automated features. The two work together so that the user doesn't have to do everything manually. The problem with this is that if there is a problem with the automated feature, then the entire system won't work properly.

Why Clearence is Provider in Cotter Joint?

Clearances between the cotter and slots in the rod end and socket allows the driven cotter to draw together the two parts of the joint until the socket end comes in contact with the cotter on the rod end.


How does a hydraulic flow divider work?

A rotary flow divider is essentially two hydraulic gear motors of equal displacement that are mechanically linked (the output shafts are coupled together). When fed from a single line, they must both turn at the same speed because they are linked and becasue they have equal displacement they therefore use the same amount of oil, hence evenly dividing the input oul between the two motors.
