The only thing that you can really do to keep a guinea pig clean is to clean out its cage and bedding very frequently (once a week at least). Bathing rodents can cause injury or death to the animal, and scents such as perfumes contain harmful chemicals. Cedar woodchips produce a great smell for the cage if changed regularly.
You can bathe your guinea pig if that's what you mean. Most guinea pigs hate water and will start to jump around your bath. If you are going to bathe your guinea pig, I'd suggest warm water and only up to the guinea pigs feet. If your guinea pig is a bit smelly, go to your local pet shop or vets and see if they have any special shampoo for your guinea pig. Always read the label on the back and rinse out the shampoo well, or this could lead to skin infection. Also, do NOT put your wet guinea pig back into there cage if there still damp. They could get a cold, and get dirty again. Hold your guinea pig in a towel and make sure she/he is warm. Also if you think it'll help give her/him some salad or there favourite food. I hope this helps you alot. :) Good luck with your guinea pig and keep squeaking!
Clean them with a water
OK you have some interesting question? Well actually Guinea pig will smell definitely dirty, but in my answer it won't smell.
No way. They are to totally different kind of animals.
Sure as slong as it doesn't get into his eyes
It is spelled "guinea pig". You got it right! :)
You should get a guinea pig, because they are great pets. Alot of other small animals give off diseases, but generally guinea pigs do not. They aren't too small, but they aren't that big either. They are the perfect size, so they are easy to hold. They don't make that much noise, with the exception of the first few days, because the guinea pig won't know where it is. Guinea pigs however, do not smell either. There are many guinea pigs in shelters that get put down, because they can't find owners for them. Therefore, you should get a guinea pig.
Yes. Surprisingly my piggy likes it a bit. But they don't need to take a bath that often. Don't just smell your guinea pig's cage, smell your guinea pig itself. Because the reason why your cage could smell it could be just the bedding, not the piggy. Hope this helped! Have a safe and happy guinea pig! But remember make sure the water you use is at room temperature, and do not wet your guinea pig's face.
HI Well guinea pigs really don't have a smell but if you don't clean the about every Sunday they wont smell good at all but guinea pig smells like her wood chips
It depends how frequently you clean your cavy cage if you dont it will smell like Guinea pig! Hoped I helped $)
They can smell bad , but not if you properly clean its cage once a week.
Rabbits/Bunnies do NOT make good cage mates for Guinea Pigs. The Guinea Pig needs another of its own kind to thrive. Even if it does have another Guinea Pig partner, the Rabbit/Bunny may try to kill, hurt, or eat them. I hope this answers your question!
Yes my guinea pig did
Well it all depends on your cat and how it is. but you could try letting it smell the guinea pig on letting it see the guinea pig and when it is acts nice give get like a treat or love on it. To show it is the right thing to do around the guinea pig. I hope this help. Ps you real Can't make it like your guinea pig.
Actually, it depends on the guinea pig you have. If he/she has a bad bladder, it's going to smell pretty bad. And, if you have a small cage, it'll get real messy real fast. If you scrub the cage down real good when you clean it, it should be fine for a while. Try to clean the cage when it first starts to smell and the smell shouldn't be there. Sometimes, the guinea pig is the one who smells bad.
You don't.
No but if your looking for a treat to give them nibble rings are good.
yes.kale is a good treat for your guinea pig.
Another guinea pig! Guinea pigs are herd animals and most love to be together. Make sure you get 2 of the same sex though!
