Short in the wiring with the steering column.
Check your power steering fluid.
Low power steering fluid or you need a lube job.

There should be a switch you push in left of the steering wheel.
It probably needs steering fluid.

bad alternator/voltage regualtor
there's a reservoir tank under the hood the cap says power steering fluid which should be near the brake fluid reservoir
should be under the kick panel to the left of the steering column. its a canister shaped silver piece.
on my Chevy camaro its super glue and duct tape, your might be different.
check the level of your power steering fluid. Also have a mechanic check to see if your power steering pump is working properly.
Most likely a bad sensor/relay
Driver side engine compartment. Should say power steering on the cap. just read the level on the stick and add accordingly.
