It's controlled by the PCM (computer)... there is no idle screw
check for a vaccum leak, broken or disconected vaccum hose, or accelerator cable may be sticky. hope this helps
Check for a vacuum leak.
On the driver's side of the F 150 carb, there should be the linkage for the throttle. On the linkage there should be a set screw that you can turn to adjust the engine idle.
your idle air control valve need to replace parts $200 labor $150 or clean it with carburetor spray if you're lucky that might solve the problem i clean my idle air control valve it help little maybe i didn't clean it up good my idle go up and down pretty high and then after i clean it sound much better but it still there idle go up and down slowly now the best way just buy a new idle air control valve engine light turn on hope its not o2sensor
