how to change spark plugs in 2004 honda civic lx?
where are the plugs located
NGK Iridium spark plugs are fine for your 1996 Honda Accord.
The Honda Civic has four spark plugs, one for each cylinder.
Oil on the outside of the spark plugs is caused by a leaking valve cover gasket. Replace the valve cover gasket. Oil on the electrode of the spark plugs indicates the engine is worn and is burning oil. The only fix for this is an engine rebuild.
NGK is an excellent plug for your Honda and is the OEM plug. But you can also install Denso plugs.
There are 4 (CR8EH9) plugs; 2 in the front cylinder and 2 in the rear cylinder.
It could be caused by not getting the spark plug boot on quite right after replacing the plug wires.
As for NGK or Denso OEM spark plugs.
Remove old spark plugs. Insert new spark plugs..... Simples
