What causes a chronic sore throat. For four weeks now I've had a sore throat every day. Sometimes with headache and muscle ache and general fatigue. My doctor has not prescribed anything for it?

it could be a strep throat, please go to the ER ASAP, and let them know of your condition, they should prescribe you antibiotics, because a strep throat can lead to rherumatic fever (a serious condition), even though its rare it can still occur in untreated strep throat cases. for more info : read here
