a dead battery
-- battery -- battery cable -- connection between battery cable and battery A fault in any of these would still supply the small current used by the lights and radio, but not the huge battery current required for starting.
Most likely your car battery is completley dead.
Your battery is dead and you should probably take it to the repair shop and have them put it in for you. Couldn't it be the starter motor? The lights and radio come on, so there must be some juice and the battery.
Your car won't start. No electrical items will work (radio, lights, power windows/locks...)
Dead battery?
Have you cheked your alternator? The battery only starts the car and runs electrical components such as your radio and A/C and lights. The alternator is the generator that keeps the engine running once it has been started. Mine was the fuel pump went out
if you have no headlights the battery is dead or one of therminals is very corroded.
First check for a corroded or damaged battery terminal. Next check the battery.
Hazard Light versus Dead BatteryNO, IF the battery is truly dead, then the hazard lights will not work. However, if there is some power left in the battery, even though the voltage may be extremely low, then the hazard lights maycontinue to work.
